What your actually Buying

Every detail of an SCR rifle exists for one reason: to eliminate variables and elevate your success.
Because some moments only come once -- SCR is your edge when the stakes are real.
We don't just build rifles, we build certainty, one shooter at a time.

Action Tuning

This is where most rifles fall short -- and where SCR separates ourselves from the competition. Firing pin binding and timing issues are real -- and if you ignore them, they'll kill your rifles true potential faster than any other issue.

Every action is disassembled, inspected, ignition blueprinted and timed. When tuning the ignition we eliminate all firing pin binding, polish internal parts, and set firing pin protrusion to correct dimensions. The result? Higher and more consistent ignition energy, reduced bolt vibration, and the smoothest bolt manipulation possible that keeps your rifle on target and your groups tight.

We've tuned hundreds of actions and can say with certainty: no action on the planet will arrive and not need correction. If your action is not tuned and timed, you WILL be giving up potential performance. Even the best actions are mass produced, and precision suffers when tolerances stack. The action is a SYSTEM and needs to function in unison as designed. At SCR, we leave nothing to chance. This process is not optional -- it's essential to achieving the accuracy, consistency, and smoothness that defines a true custom rifle.

Barrel Indication

A proper chamber job begins with precise barrel indication -- and at SCR, that means zero compromise. We believe the most critical aspect of any chamber job is how precisely the throat is centered in the bore. To achieve this, we dial in directly in the bore where the bullet will sit and enter, adjusting our indication based on that particular cartridge length. Using high-precision, direct-read indicators -- not bushings or feel based methods -- we eliminate guess work and avoid the tolerance stack of other methods. Our bores are indicated to true zero before a single cut is made. Close enough isn't in our vocabulary! It's either right or it's not done.

Chambering

One of the most critical aspects of any precision rifle is the quality of the chamber. At SCR, every chamber is cut straight, concentric and on-size. We verify size and alignment throughout the process, using pin gauges to confirm dimensions against the reamer print and checking bore indication multiple times to ensure nothing shifts. We log detailed measurements and  build notes on every chamber -- including all key dimensions so we can replicate your exact setup in the future, whether for a barrel replacement or a new cartridge.

Flawless Fit and Finish

A truly custom rifle isn't just built to perform -- it's built to be flawless in every detail. At SCR, blend the bolt handle, tang, ejection port, bolt stop and bottom metal to seamlessly interface into the stock.

Nothing looks or feels out of place, because nothing is. Combined with the elite Cerakote work from Primal Finish, the result is a rifle that doesn't just shoot small, -- it looks and feels like nothing else. This level of craftsmanship doesn't just show -- it speaks for itself.

Verified Performance

Every SCR rifle is test-fired and verified for flawless feeding, smooth extraction and precision and accuracy -- before it ever reaches your hands. We don't ship assumptions. We ship proof. Whether you're hunting, competing, or defending, you deserve a rifle that's been tested, measured and trusted to perform. We won't hand over a rifle unless we'd bet our name -- and your success -- on it.

Stress-Free Bedding

True precision starts with stability -- and bedding is where that foundation is build. At SCR, every stock is carefully inlet for alignment and symmetry before the bedding ever begins. We ensure the compound thickness is consistent, stress is never introduced and the action is perfectly supported in its natural state. This eliminates shifting under action screw torque, keeps your zero stable across changing conditions, and ensures your rifle tracks straight under recoil.

We build custom pillar lengths taking into account, both aesthetics fit and function for feeding out of your magazine. The barrel channel is centered in the fore-end and the DBM is bedded in the bottom of the stock. The epoxy we use isn't just tough -- it'sbeen tested and proven to resist shrinkage and environmental variation better than anything else we have found. The result? A perfectly molded, stress-free bedding job that locks in long term performance and repeatable precision -- shot after shot, year after year.

Measured Bedding Integrity

You can't judge bedding quality by appearance alone -- true craftsmanship is in the details you can't see. At SCR, we verify every bed job with an indicator to confirm a stress-free fit when the action is torqued into place. If it doesn't meet our standard, it's milled out and redone. No exceptions.

Every SCR rifle is also upgraded with Hawkins Precision M5 Enhanced action screws -- machined true, nitrided and hardened -- eliminating the inconsistencies of the cheap factory screws. This isn't just extra effort. It's the standard for a rifle that's built to last and shoot straight under real-world conditions.

Barrel Channel Fitment

Barrel channel clearance matters more than most realize. At SCR, we ensure every barrel is centered in the stock and has uniform generous spacing along the entire channel. We do not want the barrel contacting the stock and disrupting the barrels harmonics. Off-center or tight channels can lead to erratic shots or shifting zero. Extra attention is spend on getting the barreled action straight in the stock to ensure straight recoil tracking, giving you better control and the ability to spot your own impacts. Precision demands room to move and flex -- and we make sire it has it.

Stress-Free Optic Mounting

Scope slippage, stiff parallax or stiff optical zoom are signs of overly tight rings or improper ring fit. At SCR, we glass bed every scope into its rings to ensure a stress-free, perfectly aligned interface. Anodized surfaces -- both on rings and scope tubes -- are smooth hard and slick, which makes slipping more likely, especially when tolerances stack unfavorably.

Bedding eliminates micro-misalignment, reduces the torque needed to secure the optic, protects the scopes finish and keeps everything where it belongs -- even under recoil. Your optic should be locked in without stress, and that's exactly how we build it.

Customer Support

When you call SCR, you're speaking directly to the person who takes orders, builds, tests, and ships your rifle. We believe your experience should match the quality of the product. That means real answers, honest timelines, and personal accountability.

We may build fewer rifles that others, but our focus is on unmatched quality -- both in our rifles and in our relationships with customers. While we don't answer calls before noon to protect our valued focus on building rifles, we aim to return all messages within 24 hours. When you reach out, we listen and you'll have our full attention.

Delivered With Care

You didn't buy an off the shelf rifle -- so it won't show up like one. Every SCR rifle is shipped in a premium Savior LRP case, designed for real-world use and built to protect your investment. No bubble wrap. No flimsy plastic case. Your rifle arrives secured, organized, and range ready. Customers are welcome to send us a preferred case of their own if they'd like, but rest assured: every SCR rifle ships in a case that meets our standards for protection and presentation. When you spend upwards of $8,000-$15,000 on a precision tool, the way it's delivered should reflect the same standard of excellence. We don't cut corners -- not on the build, and not in the box.
